Thank you for this–I did indeed discover that Moneythumb is the answer to my problem, in the form of a standalone piece of software called “QIF2QBO”. It effortlessly converts the file into the QBO I need to import into QB Desktop for Mac. They told me quickbooks online is on IE which is why you have to use this browser.

Hi Matt, see comments by Bob and rp above. You may be out of luck due to the version. You could also try another code in the .qbo file. But it would be helpful to know what the proper code for Bank of America is. Right now, I’ve used your trick with the digits 2430 as suggested.

For Canadian Quickbooks, it has to be CAD or the USD, if you have a multi-currency setup. For Quickbooks US Edition it has to be US Dollars. Even if you are importing for the non-USD account, in Quickbooks US you must use US Dollars Currency. The right part here is for the output QBO file.
